How to get wig glue out of hair?

Wearing a wig is already a commonplace thing for modern people. There are many ways to wear wigs, the most common being adhesive.
Although the adhesive will make the wig fit the scalp better, it is firmer and looks more realistic and natural, but removing wigs and removing glue is a headache, especially for applied glue, it is difficult to clean.

Wig glue can be a very strong adhesive, and removing it from your hair can be tricky. So how to effectively remove the glue from wigs?
The basic rule you should keep in mind is to be very patient when removing glue from your wig, making sure not to pull the bottom of the net so hard that it is not torn apart.

Here are some steps you can take to remove wig glue from your hair:

1.Soak the hair: Soak the affected area of your hair in warm water for at least 10-15 minutes. This can help soften the glue and make it easier to remove.

2.Apply oil or conditioner: Apply a generous amount of oil or conditioner to the glue, working it into the hair with your fingers. Allow it to sit for a few minutes to help break down the glue.

3.Comb through the hair: Use a fine-tooth comb or wig brush to gently comb through the hair, working the glue out as you go. Be patient and work slowly to avoid damaging the hair.

4.Wash the hair: Once you have removed as much of the glue as possible, wash your hair thoroughly with a gentle shampoo and conditioner to remove any remaining residue.

5.Repeat if necessary: If there is still glue left in the hair after the first attempt, repeat the process until it has been fully removed.

Note that some types of wig glue may be more difficult to remove than others, and it may take some time and patience to completely remove it from your hair.
It's also important to avoid using any harsh chemicals or pulling too hard on the hair, as this can cause damage or breakage.

  • Warm water mixture

Salt and baking soda are natural neutralizers that can destroy the stickiness of the adhesive. Stir well with a pinch of salt or baking soda in warm water and store it in a spray bottle for later use.

When you want to clean the glue, just spray it on the glue and clean the wig with a soft cotton cloth.

Although this method does not cause any damage to the wig, it can take a long time compared to products specifically designed to remove glue.

  • Alcohol

It is also a good way to clean the glue residue with a cotton ball dipped in alcohol. Just wipe back and forth on the wig with a cotton ball dipped in alcohol, and after a few seconds, you'll notice that the glue has come off.

But this method is best not to use often, because alcohol can damage the bottom of your wig mesh.
